The earthquake of 7.2 degrees on the scale Richter shook the city of Mexicali, capital of Baja California on Sunday that left at least two dead, hundreds injured and numerous property damage.

“It seems that the Earth is a little accommodating,” said the Mexican president to cause the slight tremor. Calderon spoke to those affected by the earthquake and vowed his government would provide all possible support to alleviate the effects of what happened.Calderon announced to install shelters for the affected population and will open a census to establish what the needs of individual residents who have been totally or partially destroyed their homes.

Calderon also visited the injured in the earthquake who are admitted to the General Hospital of Mexicali. During his visit was accompanied by Baja California Gov. Jose Guadalupe Osuna Millan, and several of his ministers, including the Communications and Transport, and Social Development.
