The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which launched in Britain and other parts of Europe last week might be seeing itself pulled from the shelves soon, and not from buyers. Apple has claimed that Samsung’s Galaxy line of smart phones and tablets copies Apple design features – including the packaging and accessories. A judge in Dusseldorf agreed that theĀ Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 copied elements of the iPad and so the device will be pulled from European store shelves.

Samsung says that they are “disappointed” by the injunction and “intend to act immediately to defend our intellectual property rights through the ongoing legal proceedings in Germany, and will continue to actively defend these rights throughout the world.” Apple filed suit in the US in April – this case has not yet been resolved, and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 remains on sale in the United States.
