Arizona has been issued a tornado threat by the US National Weather Service. The tornado warnings were in effect till 9PM PST or 10PM MST on Thursday 21st January 2010 and strong winds with a speed of 70miles/hour were expected along with severe thunderstorms producing a short lived tornado.

The people of Arizona and Phoenix are all excited and thrilled as this is something never happened earlier in Arizona and around it! Though they are scared of the possible tornado.

The tornado is believed to have hit the Desert Ridge Marketplace at Loop-101 and Tatum. The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed the tornado, but damage reports are not currently available.

The tornado warning lapsed at 9pm MST, and the storm cell behind the tornado has continued on a track to the East.
