The Voice of Spongebob: Tom Kenny Died

Get to know the man behind the voices of Iron Man, MODOK, Captain America and kid’s favorite character SpongeBob SquarePants, Tom Kenny. Today, there were rumors that he had died. This is not the first time rumors that he had passed away had hit the internet. Some said his life had come to end and for some bizarre reasons.

You have to wonder what his wife and two kids think of him cheating the internet’s quest to kill him not once but twice! And why would someone start these rumors? There have been countless fake celebrity death reports but it’s curious that Tom Kenny aka SpongeBob has been a frequent victim. But thankfully SpongeBob fans everywhere can rest easy knowing that Tom Kenny is safe and sound.

Tom Kenny began his entertainment career as a stand-up comedian in Boston, though he later went to San Francisco where he continued to perform stand-up comedy. However, he still credited his comedy career to the legends in animation, such as Tex Avery, rather than other comedians in the field. Tom didn’t initially plan to provide voices for a living, though one night when he was performing his comedy routine, there were some executives from Nickelodeon and Hanna-Barbera in the audience, who approached him with an offer to work with them, which changed his life forever.
