Former MLB All-Star Jose Lima Dies At 37

ESPN reported Jose Lima,37 years old, a former MLB All-Star is dead. Lima died of a massive heart attack in Los Angeles.In 1999, Jose Lima won 21 games with the Houston Astros and set a Major League record by allowing 48 home runs the following season.  In 2005, he posted the worst ERA of all time for a pitcher with at least 30 starts.Since 2008, Lima has pitched for professional baseball teams in South Korea, California and Canada.

“Lima was an exceptional man. This is a great loss for Dominican baseball and the country,” Llenas said.”He was a man full of life, without apparent physical problems and with many plans and projects on the agenda,” his wife, Dorca Astacio, told ESPNdeportes.com.
